En el Día Internacional de los Museos 2019

El día internacional de los Museos se celebra en todo el mundo como un día de Fiesta de los Museos, de sus comunidades y de sus patrimonios culturales. En este año los museos de todo el mundo llama la atención sobre el valor de los museos como lugares de cultura, como espacios de encuentro y de práctica de la ciudadanía y de lucha por la memoria.

ICOM Portugal, sólo puede a saludar todos los profesionales de museos en Portugal, que este año volverá a mostrar la vitalidad de la vida de los museos y su valor para las prácticas culturales en las comunidades.Este último año, el tema de los museos portugueses ha sido activo en la sociedad. ICOM Portugal ha contribuido de una manera activa y comprometida en la identificación de las principales cuestiones de política cultural nacional, y ha llevado a diferentes actores sus propuestas. Ha intentado llamar la atención sobre los problemas con que los profesionales de museos se enfrentan en su día a día, para las cuestiones relevantes de la gestión de los museos, la formación y el empleo digno para sus profesionales. Reconocemos que a lo largo de este año han tomado varias medidas para contribuir a la mejora y el vigor de los museos portugueses. No podemos dejar de reconocer que todavía hay un camino por recorrer y nos ponemos a disposición para encontrar soluciones viables en conjunto con la comunidad museológica.
Pero el tiempo es hoy de fiesta y es sobre todo no olvidar que los museos son lugares de vida y que su valor en la sociedad deriva de la relevancia del trabajo que sus profesionales y amigos de los museos hacen en todo el país.Celebramos los museos portugueses con orgullo en el trabajo de nuestros profesionales y vamos a seguir con el compromiso de hacer que nuestros museos lugares de cultura viva.
Dejamos también un abrazo solidarios a nuestros colegas de Mozambique, que en este día trabajan para reconstruir y salvaguardar su patrimonio afectado por los trágicos eventos que afectaron al país.

 

On the International Museum Day 2019
International Museum Day is celebrated around the world as a day of Festival of Museums, their communities and their cultural heritage. In this year, museums around the world call attention to the value of museums as places of culture, as spaces for meeting and practicing citizenship and fighting for memory.
ICOM Portugal, can only welcome all the professionals of museums in Portugal, which this year will once again show the vitality of the life of museums and their value for cultural practices in communities.This last year, the theme of Portuguese museums He has been active in society. ICOM Portugal has contributed in an active and committed way in identifying the main issues of national cultural policy, and has brought its proposals to different actors. He has tried to draw attention to the problems that museum professionals face in their day-to-day work, for the relevant issues of museum management, training and decent employment for their professionals.
We recognize that throughout this year they have taken several measures to contribute to the improvement and vigor of Portuguese museums. We can not fail to recognize that there is still a way to go and we are available to find viable solutions together with the museological community.
But time is a holiday today and it is especially necessary not to forget that museums are places of life and that their value in society derives from the relevance of the work that their professionals and friends of museums do throughout the country.
We celebrate Portuguese museums with pride in the work of our professionals and we will continue with the commitment to make our museums places of culture alive.
We also leave a solidarity hug to our colleagues in Mozambique, who are working to rebuild and safeguard their heritage affected by the tragic events that affected the country.

Pedro Pereira Leite:
Guest Professor at Lusophone University where he is a member of the executive board of the UNITWIN Chair of UNESCO "Education, Citizenship and Cultural Diversity" (2018-2022). He has been a professor in the PhD and Master's programs in Museology since 2011. He is currently promoting the installation of the MED Museum of Global Education and Cultural Diversity, a program to include local knowledge and memories to create sustainable communities.
He is Member of the Direction of the International Movement for a New Museology (MINOM / ICOM). Integrates the member bodies of ICOM Portugal (2014 - 2020). He is part of several research networks and has collaborated with the UNESCO School Network and the Educating Cities Network in Portugal. It develops research activity in Portugal, Spain, Brazil and in Mozambique.
